Resolution Options: see which IRS paths may fit
$79.99 one time. Charged by Apple inside the iPhone app.
What it does
You enter the notice type and a few yes or no answers. The app shows IRS programs such as payment plans, penalty relief, offer in compromise, audit reconsideration, innocent spouse relief and the Taxpayer Advocate Service. Each one is marked "appears relevant", "may be worth reviewing" or "does not appear to fit", based on your answers.
Each card quotes the IRS criteria, links the IRS page, and lists what to gather.
What it does not do
- It does not decide if a program applies to you.
- It does not estimate an offer amount.
- It does not fill out IRS forms.
- It does not contact the IRS.
Only the IRS decides.
Free help comes first
These free options are always shown first:
When it suggests a professional
The app suggests talking to a CPA or enrolled agent when your answers involve:
- A levy or lien notice.
- An appeal.
- Offer in compromise.
- Innocent spouse relief.
- Audit reconsideration.
- Business or payroll tax.
- A deadline within 10 days.
